It has been 37 years since Ghost in the Shell, the original manga by Shirow Masamune, was first published in 1989. Over the years, directors from different eras—including Mamoru Oshii, Kenji Kamiyama, Kazuya Kise, and Shinji Aramaki—have created a wide range of stories. This exhibition commemorates the 30th anniversary of the anime’s production and brings together all Ghost in the Shell works in one place, making it the first large-scale exhibition to allow visitors to experience the series’ history from a comprehensive, cross-sectional perspective.

Ghost in the Shell collaborates with G-SHOCK, the watch brand of CASIO, Japan’s globally renowned electronics manufacturer. Based on the iconic G-SHOCK DW-5600, a masterpiece that established the concept of toughness in wristwatches, this special model reveals the key visual from GHOST IN THE SHELL / Ghost in the Shell (1995) on the display when the backlight is activated.

A signature square-case model in the G-SHOCK lineup, the DW-5600 continues to evolve in pursuit of uncompromising toughness. It carries the DNA of the original DW-5000, serving as a foundational model of the 5600 series.
