Yoshiki and Hikaru are two boys who grew up together in a quiet village.

After Hikaru was replaced by a mysterious “something,” strange impurities began to spread throughout the village. To stop them from growing, Yoshiki and his friends work to seal several “holes” that connect this world to the afterlife—holes that can only be closed from the other side.

Using his bond with Yoshiki, who has never turned away from the being that took Hikaru’s place, Hikaru proposes to close the holes himself and return. Meanwhile, Asako and Tanaka try to negotiate directly with the impurities in a desperate attempt to make them seal the holes!
